Mechanism of action

We are happy to present you a new, enhanced version of the #1 high strength sodium fluoride home-care rinse recommended by Canadian dental professionals: X-PUR Opti-Rinse Plus. The X-PUR Opti-Rinse Plus remains the same highly effective product that you appreciate, but with three main enhancements:

#1: A New Enhanced Formulation with Citrox® Against Gingivitis, Caries and Xerostomia
The first enhancement is that X-PUR Opti-Rinse Plus includes the addition of a new ingredient called Citrox®, which is categorized as a patented antimicrobial bioflavonoids complex offering a powerful antimicrobial antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect.

Citrox® is extracted from bitter oranges which have been consumed by humans since the dawn of time. Apart from being all natural, organic and hypoallergenic, Citrox® is very effective at killing bacteria and viruses at very low concentration while breaking down biofilm. This makes Citrox® an extremely powerful substance that can help patients maintain good oral hygiene practices in order to reduce the risk of future complications.

With Citrox®, your patients can feel safe as it is biodegradable, safe to handle, eco-friendly, alcohol-free, does not contain synthetic fragrances or colourants, and is also free of GMO, petrochemicals and allergenic substances.

#2: Health Canada Indication: Helps Prevent Plaque & Gingivitis
X-PUR Opti-Rinse Plus is not only a solution in your caries management protocol, but also for your periodontal patients. Tackling gingivitis in a profond way!

#3: A Larger Bottle for the Same Price
The second enhancement includes an increase in the bottle size. The X-PUR Opti-Rinse Plus now comes in a 500ml bottle compared to a 473ml one, and for the same price!

HIGH STRENGTH SODIUM FLUORIDE (NaF)

Remineralizes: Against Caries
The fluoride ion binds with the calcium ion to form calcium fluoride, adding to the hydroxyapatite, thus making the teeth more resistant to acid dissolution.

CITROX®

Antimicrobial, Antiviral & Antifungal
This plant-based, patented specific complex of bioflavonoids binds with bacterial cell walls to affect extracellular and soluble proteins through hydrogen bonding which the bacteria and viruses need to survive.

XYLITOL

Reduces Cariogenic Bacteria Load
The tooth decay causing bacteria are not able to metabolize xylitol, which results in an absence of lactic acid and polysaccharide production.

CETYLPYRIDNIUM CHLORIDE (CPC)

Against Gingivitis
Broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that acts by penetrating the cell membrane, causing cell components to leak, which eventually leads to cell death.

Testimonials

I have lousy teeth. This product, along with avoiding added sugars in food, keeps my dental problems to a minimum. For people like me you need to get the .05. Fluoride.

- R. Caron, a patient

I learned about this mouthwash at my dentist after a really bad spate of cavities, crowns, and an extraction. I use it every night last thing and then do not wash out my mouth or eat anything. My dental appointments are having much better results. This is a must-have product for me now.
